Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Reston, Virginia to join the Analysis Solutions group. You will perform facility characterizations of electrical power systems, substations, and distribution networks within a fast-paced government environment.

The role requires a clear understanding of electrical engineering principles, strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail. You will interact with engineers, government personnel, and contractors to inform critical mission decisions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI/polygraph clearance required with U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 4+ years of experience, or Master's with 2+ years.
• Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and their application.

Responsibilities

• Characterize facility functions, missions, and configurations using diverse data and best practices.
• Assess facility layouts, mission systems, and power distribution components for vulnerabilities.
• Use modeling tools to analyze electrical power systems and dependencies.
• Provide engineering guidance and technical judgment throughout characterization.
• Develop written reports and briefings communicating complex electrical designs to varied audiences.
• Brief senior officials on capabilities, trends, and analytical findings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support mission objectives.
