Job summary

Independent Software seeks a Network Engineer Level 2 to configure, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco and Arista technologies. You will work with a small team across local and remote locations, handling lab configurations, upgrades, fielding, and ongoing operational support.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, SSP compliance activities, and on-call support after training. Required DoD IAT Level II certification and active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related technical field with six years of network engineering experience OR
• Bachelor's degree with eight years of network engineering experience OR
• Twelve years of experience with an industry certification substituted for degree

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, sustain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network infrastructure
• Support operational networks, including firewall and crypto equipment
• Configure and test new systems and upgrades in lab
• Support fielding, cutovers, upgrades, modernization efforts
• Perform SSP compliance activities and support STE/STN security requirements
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and issues
• Work through tickets using JIRA or similar system
• Maintain configurations, documentation, diagrams, and compliance records
• Provide remote and in-person support at multiple locations
• On-call support after training
• Occasional travel, including OCONUS as needed
