Job summary

Aqua IT is seeking an experienced System Engineer with Linux administration to support cloud and on-premise systems for a mission operations team. The role focuses on operating and sustaining a geospatial solution for DoW end users, with emphasis on installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of critical systems.

The ideal candidate will have BS plus 8+ years or a Masters with 6+ years, active TS/SCI clearance, and DoD 8570 Security+ level certification.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 8+ years of experience or a Masters with 6+ years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph post hire.
• DoD 8570 Certification (Security+ or higher).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Adaptable to new technologies and fast learner.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Experience with Linux, RHEL, and HPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead system changes and improvements.
• Troubleshoot with government and contractor POCs.
• Recommend configuration changes to improve performance.
• Maintain security compliance with government and contractor POCs.
• Author and update operation and security documentation, including SOPs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
