Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking an RF Engineer to design, develop, integrate and test advanced RF systems. The role requires hands-on work with lower-power RF designs, power amplifiers, antennas, and RF test equipment in a fast-paced team environment.

A TS clearance and a BS in Electrical Engineering with extensive applicable experience are required; strong communication and teamwork are essential for interacting with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar major from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of experience as an RF engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience with designing lower-power RF systems, power amplifiers, cellular and WiFi technology, antennas, RF propagation, and RF test equipment
• Experience with selecting, developing, and using analysis tools
• Planning and executing performance analysis
• Integrating and testing RF systems
• Developing RF system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Requirements Specifications
• Excellent communication skills with team and clients (both written and verbal communications)
• Team-based collaborative abilities
• Resourceful in terms of problem solving and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integration, and testing of operational prototype RF system solutions.
• Hands-on RF design in lower-power systems, power amplifiers, cellular and WiFi tech, antennas, RF test equipment, and propagation modeling/simulation.
