Job summary

WGS Systems, LLC seeks an experienced RF Communications Systems Engineer to join our Frederick, Maryland team. The role focuses on system design, performance planning, and testing for military and commercial radio networks, including terrestrial, airborne, and satellite applications.

Candidates should have 10+ years in radio communications, strong modulation and RF propagation knowledge, and the ability to work independently. Occasional travel and collaboration with customers are expected.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
• B.S. in electrical engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 10+ years in radio communication systems and networks.
• Expert in radio network design, modulation, RF propagation, and antenna modeling.
• Strong understanding of data networking protocols and routing.
• Ability to work independently and develop system schematics and detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze military and/or commercial voice and data radio systems at system level.
• Plan, model, and assess performance of radio networks.
• Coordinate with customers during test and deployment events.
• Provide support to prime and sub‑contractors; conduct tests in lab and field.
• Develop system simulations and modeling of communications networks.
