TSR Consulting seeks a Trust Relationship Manager in New York, NY, offering a hybrid setup (in-office Tue–Thu) for a 12-month temporary assignment. You will manage complex trust and estate accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering high-quality client service.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in trust administration, solid investment knowledge, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor's in Business or related field is required; CTFA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive trust administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulations governing trust and estate administration.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and client service skills.
• Proficiency with computers and relevant mainframe systems or software.
• Strong understanding of investment markets and ability to discuss performance with clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive client service by communicating with clients, attending meetings, and responding to inquiries.
• Administer complex trusts and estates per governing documents, client instructions, and regulations.
• Monitor receivables and invest funds when applicable.
• Strengthen client relationships through cross-selling and referrals to support fee-based revenue.
• Ensure documentation for new and existing relationships is complete and compliant.
• Collaborate with legal counsel and management to negotiate agreement provisions.
• Provide guidance and training to senior and junior team members.
• Follow compliance and risk controls, address regulatory issues promptly.
• Authorize discretionary payments within delegated limits and escalate when needed.

Job Title: Trust Relationship Manager

Location: New York, NY— Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday)

Duration: 12-month temporary assignment, with likely extension

Pay Rate: $42/hr (W2)

Interview Process: One-round panel interview

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Trust Relationship Manager to manage complex trust and estate accounts while delivering high-quality client service and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trust administration, client relationship management, investment concepts, and operational risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive client service by communicating with clients, attending meetings, and responding to inquiries in accordance with service standards.
• Administer complex trust and estate accounts in accordance with governing documents, client instructions, internal policies, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor and collect receivables and invest funds when applicable.
• Strengthen existing client relationships through cross-selling and referrals, supporting fee-based revenue growth and the development of profitable relationships.
• Ensure documentation for new and existing relationships is complete and compliant.
• Work with legal counsel and management to negotiate agreement provisions.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members and participate in action groups and committees.
• Follow compliance and operational risk controls, implement audit requirements, and address regulatory issues promptly.
• Exercise delegated authority to approve discretionary payments and sign legal documents; **escalate** matters that exceed authorized limits.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive trust administration experience, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulations governing trust and estate administration.
• Excellent communication, analytical, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers and relevant mainframe systems or software.
• Strong understanding of investment markets and concepts, with the ability to discuss investment performance with clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree and/or Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation.
• Experience partnering with Private Banking and Trust & Fiduciary Services teams.
