Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Connecticut invites an experienced attorney to join our estate planning, probate, and trust administration practice.

You will work directly with clients, manage matters from start to finish, and contribute to business development, whether or not you arrive with a book of business. You will attend or lead client meetings, draft wills and trusts, advise on tax-efficient wealth transfer, and guide fiduciaries through probate and related returns.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Connecticut Bar.
• 5+ years of Trusts & Estates experience.
• Ability to independently manage matters and client relationships.
• Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-starter mindset with a professional, client-focused approach.
• Book of business welcome—but not required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and/or lead client meetings and assess planning goals.
• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
• Advise clients on tax-efficient estate and wealth-transfer strategies.
• Manage probate proceedings and trust administration matters.
• Advise fiduciaries (executors, trustees, beneficiaries).
• Prepare or review estate, income, and gift tax returns.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients.
• Participate in client development, networking, and referral relationships.
