Job Description

Sands Anderson is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our team in Richmond. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice on estate planning, trust administration, and related matters. They will work closely with clients to develop strategies for managing their assets and ensuring their estate plans meet legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active law license in Virginia
• 3+ years of trusts and estates law experience
• Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, and tax laws
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on estate planning strategies, wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
• Assist with trust administration, probate, and estate litigation
• Draft legal documents such as wills and trust agreements
• Conduct legal research on trusts and estates laws
• Represent clients in court and legal proceedings
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients
