Job summary

Sands Anderson seeks a driven Attorney to join our team in Williamsburg, VA or Richmond, VA. The role focuses on supporting healthcare regulatory matters and working within a collaborative business practice group.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., Virginia Bar eligibility, and at least 1 year in regulatory or transactional law with strong research and writing skills. You will advise clients, draft filings, and navigate complex regulatory issues.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school, active Virginia Bar eligibility or admission.
• Experience in regulatory, healthcare, or transactional law preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and analyze contracts, policies, and other legal documents to ensure healthcare regulation compliance.
• Counsel healthcare providers on federal and state regulatory compliance matters.
• Assist with licensure, certification, enrollment, and operational compliance issues.
• Support healthcare transactions and physician/provider arrangements.
• Advise on HIPAA, reimbursement, long-term care, and healthcare employment matters.
• Represent clients in audits, investigations, appeals, and administrative proceedings.
• Prepare regulatory filings and submissions, including COPN applications.
• Conduct legal research, draft client guidance, and monitor regulatory developments.
• Work with healthcare clients and government agencies to resolve regulatory issues.
