Job summary

LHH is assisting a midsize NYC firm in its search for a Trusts & Estates Associate. This role offers sophisticated work with Big Law-level exposure, delivered within a collaborative culture and strong work-life balance.

The attorney will handle complex estates and personal estate planning for high-net-worth clients, with autonomy and oversight minimal, within a permanent hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in trusts and estates.
• Ability to manage estates with minimal oversight and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Handle administration of complex estates for high-net-worth clients, families, charities, and corporations.
• Engage in personal estate planning and navigate tax issues.
• Work closely with partners to deliver sophisticated trust and estate services.

I am currently helping a top client in its search for a Trusts & Estates Associate. This midsize NYC firm offers sophisticated Big Law-level work while promoting a collaborative culture and true work-life balance.

This is an unposted and confidential search.

Highlights of this opportunity:

• Ideal for an attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of experience looking for autonomy over their practice, the opportunity to be "handed off" estates to manage with minimal oversight, and an eye on their future at a firm that nurtures growth.
• Work with a variety of clients including high net-worth individuals, families, charities, and corporations on the administration of complex estates (including revocable trusts, charitable foundations/entities, and wills) and personal estate planning, while navigating corporate and tax issues.
• Associates annualize 1700 billables for full bonus (approximately 80% of market bonus)
• Work closely with the team's Jr. and Sr. level partners.
• Permanent hybrid work arrangement.
