Position Title: Trusts & Estates Attorney

A well-established Southern California law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to manage sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, probate, and post-mortem matters from beginning to end. This attorney will work directly with clients, draft and review estate planning documents, advise on planning strategies, and oversee a diverse caseload with significant autonomy.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of trusts and estates experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with clients navigating complex and often deeply personal circumstances. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to deepen their specialization while joining a collaborative team that values quality work, strong client relationships, and long-term professional growth.

Salary Range: $115,000–$165,000 / Year, DOE

Responsibilities

• Manage estate planning matters through the full lifecycle, including client intake, strategy, drafting, execution, and follow-up
• Handle uncontested trust settlements, trust administration, probate proceedings and estate settlements
• Draft and review wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives and related estate planning instruments
• Advise clients on estate tax planning, asset titling, beneficiary designations and trust funding
• Support disability planning matters including special needs trusts, conservatorships and ABLE account planning
• Maintain accuracy and organization across a high-volume caseload with numerous deadlines and moving pieces
• Conduct legal research and prepare clear, precise written work while maintaining strong communication with clients and the internal team

Requirements

• 3–5 years of trusts and estates experience
• Active California Bar membership in good standingHands-on experience with trust administration, probate, conservatorships, and trust formation
• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
• Mature, professional, and relatable communication style, particularly when working directly with clients
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively alongside attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
