Qualifications

• J.D. required; LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required
• Pennsylvania Bar admission required
• 3 to 5 years of trusts and estates, estate planning, estate and trust administration, or related tax planning
• Working knowledge of federal estate, gift, and income tax principles
• Experience drafting estate planning documents (trusts, wills, powers of attorney)
• Strong analytical, drafting, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage assignments independently while collaborating with partners and senior attorneys

Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning and wealth transfer strategies
• Draft and revise estate planning documents (revocable/irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney)
• Support business succession planning for closely held businesses
• Analyze tax issues (estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, income tax) and implement tax-efficient planning
• Collaborate with corporate and transactional attorneys on ownership, restructuring, and liquidity events
• Work with clients, accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to implement recommendations
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on trusts, estates, and tax matters
• Assist with estate and trust administration and fiduciary communications
