Job summary

Origin Bank in Longview, TX seeks a customer-focused teller/service associate to assist customers with banking needs and transactional requests. You will open accounts, offer trusted advice, and support daily operations in a busy retail banking center.

The role requires strong communication, cash handling, and software skills, with travel to different branches as needed. You will help maintain security and compliance while promoting the Bank's values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Internet, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, ADP.

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted banking advice and perform customer transactions.
• Open new accounts and resolve problems to ensure positive experiences.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer and follow cash handling procedures.
• Promote bank culture and brand values.
• Refer customers to commercial, insurance and investments partners.
• Develop new banking relationships through networks and community engagement.
• Travel to assigned banking centers as needed.
• Handle tasks such as account research, wire requests, safe deposit access, quotes, and night deposits.
