Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Business Operations Analyst in San Jose to advance Trust & Safety analytics and automation. The role partners across functions to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, builds data workflows, and surfaces key metrics through reporting tools.

You will ensure data quality and explore AI-enabled enhancements for efficiency and scalability. With 5+ years in analytics/automation, you will leverage SQL, Python, Excel automation, and data warehousing concepts

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in data automation, analytics, or a related analyst role.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and technical concepts into actionable business insights.
Proficient in Excel automation, data pipeline development, and scripting for automation tasks. Including proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and scalable data workflows.
Experience applying data quality, validation, and governance best practices to ensure accurate, reliable, and trustworthy analytics.
Understanding of relational databases and/or data warehousing for concepts (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake).
Proven analytical problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail and process optimization.
Familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics or related subjects is preferred.
Comfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight and process, while keeping leadership informed on progress against deadlines.
Experience working in Trust and Safety scaled operations, with an understanding of content moderation workflows or workflow management systems.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience identifying opportunities to leverage AI‑assisted tools and automation to improve reporting, operational workflows, and productivity.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and translate business requirements into scalable analytics and automation solutions.
Develop and maintain scalable data workflows (e.g. Scheduled SQL queries, Python scripts or RPA bots).
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and platform teams to improve systems integration and data flow between platforms (e.g. workflow tools and databases).
Build, design, and monitor reporting tools that surface key metrics and operational insights. These may include data related to efficiency and quality performance in moderation teams.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, data definitions, and user documentation to support scalable analytics solutions.
Evaluate emerging analytics, automation, and AI technologies to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and data accessibility.
Ensure data quality, validation, and governance standards across automated reporting and AI‑assisted workflows to support accurate, reliable decision‑making.
