Job summary

The Forge Companies in Atlanta seeks an Operations Specialist I - Trust to support Trust Administration and the Operations Manager in the daily management of trust accounts. The role requires initiative, multi-tasking and strong communication to ensure accurate processing and timely servicing.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in business or finance and at least 2 years in trust or banking operations, with excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of trust, investment, banking operations experience.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Collaborative attitude and teamwork orientation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized and diligent in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, adaptable and able to multitask effectively.
• Ability to communicate findings to management clearly.

Responsibilities

• Account Opening: receive, review and process new/existing client account paperwork.
• Account Maintenance: ensure all client records are updated accurately and timely.
• Asset Control/Vault custodial duties: Asset maintenance, reconciliation, securing/removing tangible assets, assist with vault audits.
• Process the trust daily cash registers. Resolve any out of balance conditions created by a credit to or remittance from an account within the Trust Platform.
• Processes account deposits and disbursements through AddVantage.
• Maintain internal controls and meet audit and regulatory requirements.
• Perform general administrative duties such as mailing, correspondence and maintaining customer records.
• Assist Operations Manager with special projects, as needed.
• Work with other areas of Operations to provide back-up or assistance when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
