Job summary

Goulston & Storrs seeks a Trust Business Analyst to improve fiduciary operations, data quality, risk management, and technology use across Private Client & Trust. You’ll translate needs into requirements, drive improvements, and support projects from testing through deployment.

Working with the Director of Fiduciary Services and firm stakeholders, you will ensure compliant client service with strong controls and efficient workflows. Hybrid role in Boston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in trust administration, fiduciary operations, banking, wealth management, or financial services preferred.
• Experience with trust-accounting, portfolio-accounting, or wealth-management systems; SS&C Black Diamond and InnoTrust or comparable platform a plus.
• Strong analytical, data analysis, and reporting skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with query or BI tools preferred.
• Familiarity with UAT, workflow automation, ticketing systems, and software release processes.
• Strong analytical and process-improvement skills; ability to identify gaps and implement practical improvements.
• Working knowledge of fiduciary principles, internal controls, and compliance in trust administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain business and technical matters to varied audiences.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills, high accuracy with large data volumes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate, and handle confidential client and firm information.

Responsibilities

• Review fiduciary administration workflows to identify bottlenecks, control gaps, manual workarounds, risk exposure, and automation opportunities.
• Document current and proposed workflows, business rules, control points, procedures, and operational requirements.
• Develop and prioritize recommendations; coordinate implementation; evaluate outcomes for operations, service and risk management.
• Lead and coordinate wealth-management platform initiatives, system enhancements, integrations, and fiduciary-technology projects.
• Optimize existing trust systems and tools; identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve workflows, accuracy, controls, and client service.
• Monitor and manage cases in the SS&C HelpSpot ticketing system, including enhancements, defects, and support issues; ensure clear ownership and resolution path.
• Coordinate user-acceptance testing with technology vendors and fiduciary management; document results and production readiness.
• Provide user support, training, communications, and documentation for system enhancements and process changes.
