Job summary

Independence Bank seeks a Trust Operations Specialist I to provide operational support for a fast-growing wealth management department. The role emphasizes accurate processing of contributions, distributions, and securities, with a focus on data accuracy and timely client service.

Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, managing risks, and collaborating with Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and clients to fulfill requests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• One year of banking/financial services support experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process contributions including retirement, dividend, ACH, transfers and checks.
• Process distributions including IRA withdrawals, bill payments and checks.
• Handle securities and cash transactions, settlements, and postings.
• Ensure data accuracy, resolve issues, and contact clients as needed.
• Maintain trust accounts and perform daily reconciliations with custodians.
• Manage risks related to unmatched transactions and client requests.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and customers to fulfill requests.
• Perform basic office duties and maintain records management systems.
