Buckley Fine Law is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Attorney with 6+ years of experience to join our Illinois-based practice in Barrington.

The role focuses on advising clients on estate planning, drafting comprehensive documents, and managing trust and estate administration with strong client interaction.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• 6+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate.
• Proven experience drafting and implementing sophisticated trust planning strategies and a high level of client contact.
• Strong legal drafting and writing skills with close attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centered mindset.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including tax minimization and long-term goals.
• Draft comprehensive estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney).
• Manage trust and estate administration (asset collection, valuation, distributions).
• Prepare federal and state gift and estate tax returns.
• Represent clients in probate proceedings and guide them through the process.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to deliver client-focused service.

• Represent clients in probate proceedings and guide them through the process.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to deliver exceptional, client-focused service.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• 6+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate.
• Proven experience drafting and implementing sophisticated trust planning strategies and a high level of client contact.
• Strong legal drafting and writing skills with close attention to detail.
