Job summary

Herring Bank is seeking a Trust Officer I or II to join our Wealth Management team, focusing on Personal Trust administration. The role supports or independently manages an assigned portfolio of personal trust accounts, including trusts, estates, IRAs, and guardianships, ensuring accurate administration per governing documents and OCC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and relevant trust experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist with a portfolio of personal trust accounts.
• Serve as primary/secondary client contact for fiduciary matters.
• Prepare and review trust documents and notices.
• Review trust instruments, wills, and related documents.
• Process distributions and account transactions per governing documents.
• Monitor liquidity, tax obligations, and required minimum distributions.
• Coordinate information for fiduciary tax return preparation.
• Maintain compliance with OCC guidelines and bank policies.
• Support business development and client relationship activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
