Texas Regional Bank is seeking a Trust Associate to support Trust Administrative and Trust Sales duties within the Trust & Wealth Management Division. You will assist Trust Officers and Wealth Strategists while strengthening client relationships and ensuring service excellence.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a client service role, ideally in financial services.
  • Knowledge of investment products; experience in trust/estate administration is a plus.
  • Trust accounting platform experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with a team and represent the firm’s culture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the trust team to strengthen client relationships.
  • Communicate clearly with clients daily and respond to their requests.
  • Utilize the InnoTrust platform for administrative services, account maintenance, and reports.
  • Prepare documents and presentations as needed.
  • Maintain client records and confidential information with discretion.
  • Prepare applications; account pre-acceptance; acceptance forms for signature.
  • Prepare administrative reviews and meeting agendas.
  • Gather information and prepare agendas for meetings and committees.
  • Complete special projects as requested.
  • Support Trust Officers in administering trust accounts.
  • Support and promote the Bank's vision, mission, and policies.
  • Comply with regulations and bank policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Trust Associate is a specialist role that supports Trust Administrative and Trust Sales Duties for the Trust and Wealth Management Division and has primary responsibility for assisting the Trust Officers and Wealth Strategists.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the trust team and the broader Trust & Wealth Management Team to strengthen client relationships.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients (e.g. account owners, trust beneficiaries and portfolio managers) daily. Respond to their requests and work with them to resolve issues and meet their needs.
  • Utilize the InnoTrust platform for administrative services, account maintenance, and the creation of administrative reports.
  • Prepare documents and presentations as needed.
  • Maintain client records, compliance files, manage sensitive, confidential, proprietary information with discretion.
  • Prepare applications; account pre-acceptance; account acceptance and related forms for signature.
  • Prepare administrative reviews.
  • Gather information and prepare agenda for various meetings and committees.
  • Complete special projects as requested.
  • Support Trust Officers in properly administering relevant trust accounts.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements

  • 1 or more years of experience in a client service role, ideally in financial services.
  • General knowledge of investment products. Experience in trust, estate administration or life insurance policies is a plus (but not required)
  • Trust accounting platform experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with a team and represent the culture of the firm.
  • Team player with a high level of energy, enthusiasm
  • Natural self-starter and has a proactive posture towards progress and innovation
  • Unimpeachable integrity and can be trusted to maintain confidential information.
