Texas Regional Bank seeks an experienced Senior Advisor for TRB Trust & Wealth Management in the Dallas area. This role designs and monitors long-term investment portfolios, supports clients through the life cycle of relationships, and collaborates with area banking executives to develop new business.

The Senior Advisor serves as the first contact for wealth management clients across North Texas, supported by the team, with office locations across the metroplex.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required in business, finance, economics or related field.
  • 10+ years7 experience in a client-facing role in asset/wealth management.
  • CFA, CFP or progress toward designation preferred.
  • Series 65 license required or to be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with bankers, Trust Officers and Client Service Team to initiate, build and strengthen client relationships.
  • Design and manage discretionary portfolios for clients within investment objectives and allocations.
  • Monitor investment performance and asset allocation; review portfolios with clients regularly.
  • Serve as analytical resource for wealth management team, including equity, fixed income and alternative research and manager selection.
  • Handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion.
  • Build relationships with bank branch employees to educate and communicate investment information.

Job description

The TRB Trust & Wealth Management Senior Advisor based in the Dallas Metroplex will be a proactive self-starter that enjoys the challenge of working with clients and prospective clients to design, implement and monitor effective long-term investment portfolios. The Senior Advisor must be able to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding financial planning and long-term investment strategies, support existing clients over the life cycle of an investment relationship, and work closely with area banking executives and centers-of-influence to develop new business. An effective Senior Advisor will be the first point of contact for wealth management clients across the North Texas region, supported by the broader trust and wealth management team, and will office at one of several TRB office locations around the metroplex.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with bankers, Trust Officers and broader Client Service Team to initiate, build and strengthen client relationships
  • Design and manage discretionary portfolios for clients within the context of appropriate investment objectives and portfolio allocations
  • Monitor investment performance and asset allocation and review portfolios with clients regularly
  • Serve as an analytical resource to the wealth management team, to include equity, fixed income and alternative research and manager selection
  • Handle sensitive, confidential, proprietary information with discretion
  • Build relationships with bank branch employees to educate and communicate investment information in support of banking clients with investment needs
Other Responsibilities
  • Support and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures
  • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, economics or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in a client-facing role in asset/wealth management
  • Genuine passion for investments, financial markets, and client outcomes
  • Knowledge of wealth management including portfolio construction, investments, trusts and financial planning
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with clients, board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community
  • CFA, CFP or progress toward designation preferred
  • Must have a clean Form U4 without regulatory disclosures, client complaints, arbitrations or disclosable settlements
  • Self-starter that can plan, execute and follow through with minimal supervision
  • The ability to discuss complex solutions in simple terms
  • Ability to work and remain composed in stressful circumstances
  • Ability to provide strong, compassionate, and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects
  • A team player that can work effectively with diverse teams across regions.
  • Comfort with an entrepreneurial and dynamic business environment
  • Microsoft Suite of applications proficiency
  • Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties
  • Series 65 license required, or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
