Riggs Davie PLC is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to become a key member of our collegial, high‑performing estate planning and trust administration team in Brentwood, Tennessee feud. This is a long‑term role for someone who enjoys real responsibility, owns their files, and wants to work on sophisticated matters in a supportive, low‑drama environment.

About the Role

You will be the primary operational driver on estate planning and trust administration matters, keeping cases moving and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The work is a mix of detailed document/administration tasks and direct client contact with families, fiduciaries, and advisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and coordinate all aspects of estate and trust administration, including docketing deadlines and tracking all follow‑up items to completion.
  • Handle trust funding, including preparing deeds and transfer documents and coordinating with financial institutions on account titling and beneficiary designations.
  • Review estate planning documents for accuracy and consistency and prepare clean execution sets for clients.
  • Maintain and improve project management systems and client files (checklists, ticklers, status reports) for multiple open matters.
  • Communicate with clients, advisors, and team members to provide clear updates and an excellent client experience.
  • Support attorneys in organizing client meetings, preparing materials, and monitoring tickler systems for reviews and follow‑up work.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of relevant paralegal experience in trusts and estates, probate administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the estate planning and trust administration process.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent matters.
  • Experience working with project management software or task tracking tools (we currently use Asana).
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and written communication.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
