We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Legal Secretary to support an estate planning and probate practice. This is a full-time opportunity offering strong attorney interaction, a collaborative environment, and meaningful client support work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct administrative and legal support to Trusts & Estates attorneys
- Prepare, and format estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives, etc.)
- Assist with probate filings, court submissions, and correspondence
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and client communication
- Handle billing: pre-bills, edits, time entry follow-up, and invoicing
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
- Coordinate meetings, scheduling, travel, and general administrative support
- Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive client informationEnsure accuracy through strong proofreading and document review skills
Qualifications:
- Recent Trusts & Estates legal secretary experience required
- Strong understanding of estate planning documents
- 5+ years of legal administrative experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with legal billing systems
- Strong proofreading and document formatting skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and client service
- Ability to manage multiple attorneys and competing priorities
