Job summary

JCW Group, a prominent Atlanta law firm, seeks an Associate with a few years of trusts & estates/tax planning experience to join its Trusts & Estates Practice Group. You will work with seasoned attorneys delivering sophisticated estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and businesses.

This role requires drafting wills and complex estate planning documents, counseling on tax strategies, and contributing to business succession planning.

Qualifications

• Draft wills and complex estate planning documents such as GRATs and charitable trusts.
• Counsel clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.
• Draft business succession planning documents.
• Familiarity with estate and gift tax return preparation and review.

A highly respected law firm in Atlanta is looking for a talented Associate with at least a couple years of trusts & estates/tax planning experience to join its thriving Trusts & Estates Practice Group - and this could be the launchpad your career has been waiting for!

In this role, you'll work alongside a team of seasoned attorneys who provide sophisticated estate, tax, and business succession planning advice to high and ultra-high net worth individuals and businesses.

What makes you a great fit?

• Experience drafting wills and complex estate planning documents - GRATs, intentionally defective grantor trusts, charitable trusts, and beyond
• A knack for counseling clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, including installment sales to grantor trusts with formula valuation
• Experience drafting business succession planning documents
• Bonus points for experience with estate and gift tax return preparation and review, and familiarity with income taxation of individuals, trusts, estates, corporations, and partnerships
• Sharp writing and analytical skills that set you apart
• A self-starter mentality with the ability to juggle multiple projects independently, while also thriving as part of a collaborative team
• A JD from an ABA-accredited law school, and active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar
