Job summary

Lewis Brisbois, a Los Angeles-based AmLaw 100 firm, seeks a Temporary Trust Analyst for a 3-month term (37.5-hour week) with potential for permanent placement. Schedule 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Trust Analyst will collaborate with billing attorneys, office administrators, billing/eBilling teams, and A/R specialists to research and clear trust balances per state bar guidelines, assist with bank reconciliations, and support the Firm’s accounting function with precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 years’ experience in accounting, account balancing, and reconciliation.
• Law firm experience a plus, but not required.
• Experience with large professional organizations or large law firm financial systems such as Aderant Expert/Elite helpful, but not required.
• Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects.
• Superior knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must be able to transition efficiently between different systems.
• 10-key speed required.

Responsibilities

• Research and clear trust matter balances per state bar guidelines.
• Collaborate with billing attorneys, office administrators, billing/eBilling teams, and account receivable specialists.
• Coordinate with management and cross-function teams regarding trust account activity.
• Confirm information regarding movement of client funds.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, research, and provide general accounting support.
• Maintain extreme attention to protocol and accuracy.
