Job summary

Ledgent is seeking a detail-oriented Trust Operations Support Accountant to assist in trust operations, cash management, account administration, reconciliations, and securities-related transactions. The role demands strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced professional setting.

Responsibilities include daily settlements with banks, processing transfers, asset setup, bank reconciliations, and support to senior trust operations staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of Trust Operations experience within a bank, insurance company, law firm, or similar professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Daily settlement with banking institutions for security-related transactions.
  • Process internal and external account transfers.
  • Assist with the setup of new assets entering the department.
  • Provide backup support to senior trust operations personnel.
  • Prepare daily cash reconciliations and bi-monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Review banking activity, monitor outstanding checks, and follow up on stale-dated items.
  • Process account openings and account closings.
  • Calculate income accruals, money market interest, and trustee fees.
  • Provide support to trust operations leadership as needed.

  • Process internal and external account transfers.
  • Assist with the setup of new assets entering the department.
  • Provide backup support to senior trust operations personnel.
  • Prepare daily cash reconciliations and bi-monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Review banking activity, monitor outstanding checks, and follow up on stale-dated items.
  • Process account openings and account closings.
  • Calculate income accruals, money market interest, and trustee fees.
  • Provide support to trust operations leadership as needed.
Qualifications:
