Sunpro Corporation is hiring a Truss Plant Mechanic in Sugar City, ID. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of truss production equipment under supervision.

Responsibilities include lubricating, minor electrical and welding work, and supporting shop operations. Must be able to travel to truss locations and maintain a safe, productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and installation of truss production equipment.
• Visualize and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
• Carry out minor electrical repairs and welding as needed.
• Lubricate and service equipment and replace oils as required.
• Maintain tools and ensure a safe work environment.
• Support other shop roles as needed, including moving materials and operating a forklift.
• Travel to different truss locations as required.

JOB TITLE: Truss Plant Mechanic

JOB LOCATION: Sugar City, ID

REPORTING TO:Truss Foreman

FUNCTION:Under the direction of the shop supervisor, the shop mechanic is responsible for Preventative maintenance, repairs and installation of truss production equipment in Sunpro truss facilities

KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
• Ensures that all truss equipment is in excellent working condition to avoid downtime and delays in production.
• Perform minor electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.
• Check and change all oils and perform proper lubrication in equipment.
• Maintain tools as required to perform job.
• Hold Medical card.
• Maintain insurable driving record.
• Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times. Offer training on best practices on equipment maintenance.
• Willing to travel to all truss locations as needed.
• Assist in other positions around the shop on an as needed basis. Including but not limited to table builder, sawyer, saw helper, moving and catching trusses, operating a forklift to move trusses and lumber in the yard, delivering trusses and other items to the job site.
