Sunpro in Lindon, Utah is seeking a Truss Operations Manager to lead the Truss division, drive lean processes, and manage training and development across the operation.

The role focuses on producing sustainable improvements, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Lumber, Truss, or a related field.
• Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel.

• Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
• Develop and improve Truss division processes, including lean manufacturing, dispatch, design, and inventory management.
• Manage data to help drive continuous improvement.
• Facilitate problem solving to drive root-cause, sustainable solutions.
• Foster a team-oriented environment and assist with hiring and onboarding.
• Train and develop Truss employees; set training standards.
• Support Location Managers; provide coverage when needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and conduct policies.

JOB TITLE: Truss Operations Manager

JOB LOCATION: Lindon, Utah

FUNCTION: The Truss Operations Manager oversees the key administrative and operational functions, including: operations, training and development. problem solving and process improvement.

REPORTING TO: Truss Location Manager

KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
• Develop and improve Truss division processes, including but not limited to:
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Dispatch
  • Design
  • Inventory Management
• Manage data to help drive continuous improvement.
• Facilitate problem solving activities to drive root-cause, sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence of problems.
• Foster a team-oriented environment.
• Assist as needed with attracting talented individuals, employee hiring, terminating, and orientation.
• Assist Location Managers in training and development of Truss employees.
• Set training standards and procedures that focus on production.
• Work with Truss employees to create and achieve their Individual Development Plans
• Provide location management during times when location manager is not available.
• Ensure compliance with all operations safety requirements.
• Adhere to standards of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by location management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of Sunpro products and services, especially with regards to Truss.
• Production management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3-5 years’ experience in Lumber, Truss, or a related field.
• Microsoft Office Suite, including: Work, Outlook, Excel, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Work Requirements – Medium: exerting up to 25 lbs of force regularly.
• Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment.
• Regular exposure to the elements.
• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
