Job summary

Parr Lumber Company in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Truss Builder to manufacture roof and floor trusses in our warehouse. You will assemble lumber with nail plates, inspect for defects, and work with the Sawyer and Truss Stacker to ensure a quality product leaves the yard.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), ability to read a tape measure, and use framing hammer, electric saw, and pneumatic nail gun.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to use framing hammer, electric saw, pneumatic nail gun.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Puncture and slip resistant boots required.
• Must wear appropriate safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials for damage before use (cracks, warping, mold).
• Assist unloading precut lumber and position for fabrication.
• Use pull sheets to grab correct nail plates for current batch.
• Fabricate trusses by assembling lumber with nail plates and hammer.
• Ensure truss quality with tight joints and correct plate placement.
• Work at a steady pace with a sense of urgency.
• Maintain cleanliness and help finish daily workload.
