Job summary

Elwood Staffing is seeking a Truss Builder in Markle, Indiana to assemble roof trusses and wall panels. The role runs first shift, 7:00am–3:30pm, with temp-to-hire potential and a starting rate of $18.00 per hour.

Read blueprints, measure and cut lumber, and operate hand and power tools as part of a team focused on daily production goals. Qualified candidates may have carpentry or manufacturing experience; training is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or woodworking is a plus, but training is available.
• Able to read a tape measure.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build roof trusses and wall panels
• Read and follow blueprints and production specifications
• Measure, cut, and fasten lumber accurately
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Truss Builder Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $18.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

• Assemble and build roof trusses and wall panels
• Read and follow blueprints and production specifications

Truss Builder Qualifications:

• Construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or woodworking experience is a plus, but willing to train motivated individuals
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a fast-paced production environment
