Job summary

Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. is seeking a Truss Manufacturing Laborer for first shift (4 days a week, 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM).

You will participate in daily truss production activities, including pulling and loading lumber, using hand and power tools, and preparing trusses for shipment in an outdoor environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and prepared to work in a fast-paced construction setting while maintaining PPE/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling hand and power tools in a construction setting.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs with team lift.
• Willing to pass physical capacity testing, drug testing and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pulling and loading lumber for truss manufacturing.
• Lay out and join trusses on the build floor.
• Load out build floor and roof trusses for shipment.
• Follow safety PPE/OSHA guidelines at all times.

Star Truss is looking for a Truss Manufacturing Laborer to join our team on first shift, 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM, overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who is detail oriented and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. We are looking for laborers who are ready to jump into daily truss manufacturing processes including pulling and loading lumber, working with hand and power tools, laying out and adjoining trusses and loading out build floor and roof trusses.

Requirements

• Ability to accurately perform work based on provided instructions
• Demonstrated success working safely and following all PPE/OSHA guidelines
• Preparing trusses for shipment in outdoor environment.
• Reliable transportation
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. team lift
• Good attitude, social skills, work ethic and team spirit
• Ability to pass physical capacity testing, drug testing and E-Verify

Preferred Experience

• Forklift operation or certification
• Experience using a tape measure, hand tools and power tools
• Truss building experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 100 pounds
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk on unleveled ground, stand, bend, stoop, balance, and climb.
• Regular exposure to cold, hot, wet, dry and/or humid conditions
