Job summary

Staffmark Group in Eaton, OH is hiring a Truss Builder to join our production team. This hands-on role involves reading blueprints, assembling roof and floor trusses, and ensuring quality workmanship.

You’ll work Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am–5:30 pm (4-day week) with pay between $18.00 and $24.00 per hour. Benefit options include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years in carpentry, truss building, construction, or related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret building drawings, blueprints, and plans to determine truss specifications.
• Select, prepare, and handle lumber and other materials for truss assembly.
• Assemble roof and floor trusses using hand tools and power tools according to specifications.
• Inspect completed trusses to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met.
• Follow all safety procedures and use the required PPE.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of materials used, trusses built, and production issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in carpentry, truss building, construction, or a related manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityworkmanship
• Ability to liftupto 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious mindset
• Ability to stand for the duration of an entire shift and work effectively in a manufacturing environment
