Job summary

QXO, Inc. in Winter Haven, FL is hiring a Truss Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble wood trusses and structural components per work orders and production schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in truss manufacturing, carpentry, or production environments.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wood trusses and structural components according to work orders, layouts, and specifications.
• Read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Measure, mark, position, and fasten materials using hand and power tools.
• Inspect materials and completed products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Identify and remove damaged or non-conforming materials.
• Set up workstations, tools, and materials for production runs.
• Move completed products to staging or designated production areas.
• Perform quality checks and support changeovers as needed during production.
• Maintain awareness of production schedules and workflow priorities.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures.
• Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
• Operate equipment and machinery safely and responsibly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
• Communicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns promptly.
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
