Job summary

QXO is seeking individuals for Assembly & Production Support to help build and stage materials for production lines. You will read shop drawings, follow work instructions, and assist with equipment operation on the production floor.

Ideal candidates have experience in manufacturing or construction environments, a strong work ethic, and the ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand tools safely. Overtime to meet production needs may occur.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Ability to read shop drawings or production instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills relevant to assembly.
• Capability to safely use common hand tools on a line.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling trusses and structural components per work orders.
• Stage lumber, connector plates, and other materials for production.
• Prepare and organize materials for production runs.
• Read and follow shop drawings, production documents, and work instructions.
• Learn and assist with operation of equipment used in the assembly process.
• Support quality inspections to ensure products meet standards.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate in training and collaborate with the team to meet goals.

What You'll Do

Assembly & Production Support

• Assist in assembling trusses and structural components according to work orders and specifications
• Stage lumber, connector plates, and other materials needed for production
• Support assembly team members by preparing and organizing materials for production runs
• Read and follow shop drawings, production documents, and work instructions
• Learn and assist with operation of equipment used in the assembly process

Quality & Accuracy

• Verify materials and components are available and properly prepared for assembly
• Assist with inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
• Follow established production procedures and work instructions

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with housekeeping activities, including keeping workstations and staging areas clean and orderly
• Report safety concerns, damaged materials, or equipment issues promptly

Teamwork & Development

• Participate in required training and skill development programs
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
• Support continuous improvement efforts and operational efficiency
• Perform additional duties as assigned
