Job summary

QXO in Fayetteville, NC seeks a motivated production associate to assist in assembling trusses and components, stage materials, and support the production line. You will read shop drawings, follow instructions, and learn equipment operations to help meet daily production goals.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and safety in a manufacturing environment. Expect exposure to machinery and varying temperatures, with opportunities for overtime based on demand.

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools such as hammers and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, carpentry, or production environments.
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
  • Experience reading shop drawings or production instructions.
  • Perform work in a manufacturing and production environment.
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to work overtime or extended hours based on production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assembling trusses and structural components according to work orders and specifications.
  • Stage lumber, connector plates, and other materials needed for production
  • Support assembly team members by preparing and organizing materials for production runs
  • Read and follow shop drawings, production documents, and work instructions
  • Learn and assist with operation of equipment used in the assembly process
  • Verify materials and components are available and properly prepared for assembly
  • Assist with inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Follow established production procedures and work instructions
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist with housekeeping activities, including keeping workstations and staging areas clean and orderly
  • Report safety concerns, damaged materials, or equipment issues promptly
  • Participate in required training and skill development programs
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and operational efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What you'll do:
Assembly & Production Support
  • Assist in assembling trusses and structural components according to work orders and specifications
