Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Granger, IN is seeking a Truss Assembler to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications.

You will set up the work area, fit parts, and use hand tools to complete the assembly while following quality standards. This role requires attention to safety and cleanliness, keeping accurate production records, and participating in safety and CI programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment; maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
