Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I in Granger, Indiana to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications.

The role emphasizes securing correct parts and maintaining required supplies, with a focus on safety and quality in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include setting up work areas, following prescribed instructions, using hand tools, and maintaining clean, organized workspaces.

Qualifications

• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
