Job summary

Lumber Specialties, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC is hiring a Truss Assembler in Story City, IA. You will lay out truss supplies and assemble components under line leaders, reading shop drawings for sizes and patterns, and loading finished materials for transport.

Responsibilities include monitoring workflow, operating assembly equipment, adhering to safety rules, and maintaining a clean, organized work area while supporting team training and attendance requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Prior carpentry experience preferred.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.

Responsibilities

• Lay out truss supplies and materials on carts or floor and stock plates for component set-up.
• Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Read shop drawings to identify plate sizes and bolt patterns.
• Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
• Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
• Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe environment.
• Comply with attendance policy and assist in keeping bays/staging areas clean.
