Job summary

Clark Pacific is seeking a senior logistics leader to optimize the trucking operations across multiple sites, build a robust fleet, and drive cost efficiency. You will forecast needs, manage contracts, and partner with engineering, finance and HR to meet company goals.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, promoting new technology, and mentoring staff while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, transportation, operations, or related field required.
  • 7–10 years progressive trucking/logistics experience with increasing responsibility.
  • 3–5 years leadership or management experience preferred in transportation or logistics.
  • Experience managing fleet operations, scheduling, routing, dispatch and delivery coordination preferred.
  • Construction/manufacturing or heavy haul transportation experience a plus.

  • Build logistics supply chain and manage trucking contracts, including sourcing, negotiating, and executing.
  • Own and manage logistics asset fleet, including forecasting needs and ensuring availability.
  • Develop strategy for department and integrate with larger company goals.

    Secure buy-in from key internal stakeholders through effective and efficient
    communications and relationships.

  • Leverage cross-functional, agile teams and project groups to identify and
    address opportunities for improvement.

  • Travel to Clark Pacific and partner locations as needed to provide
    leadership, oversight, and management of trucking operations and teams
    across multiple sites.

  • Utilize data analytics, internal data and trends to support project planning,
    monitor performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to
    support project objectives and decision-making.

Work Environment


  • General in-office environment will be experienced.

  • There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing and field environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

  • There will be periodic exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid environments.



Physical Demands


  • Frequent: Sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones, standing and walking

  • Periodic: Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements

  • Business travel, (40%). Bending squatting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.



Experience and Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations, including increasing levels of responsibility

  • 3–5 years of leadership or management experience overseeing drivers, transportation teams, dispatch, logistics operations, or similar functions preferred

  • Experience managing fleet operations, transportation scheduling, routing, dispatch, and delivery coordination preferred.

  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, precast concrete, heavy haul, or oversized-load transportation is a plus

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
