Qualifications

• Licensed Texas attorney in good standing.
• Personal injury or tort litigation experience required.
• Proficient in managing discovery and taking/defending depositions independently.
• Excellent legal writing and briefing skills essential.
• A legal writing sample will be required during the interview.
• Highly organized, procedure-oriented, collaborative, and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Litigation support on active, high-value cases involving catastrophic injuries.
• Manage discovery requests and identify deficiencies in material from opposing counsel.
• Independently take smaller depositions and defend clients; prep for larger depositions.
• Appear at hearings and develop strong briefing skills.
• Communicate with clients about case issues, questions, and concerns.
• Play an active role in trial proceedings, including examining witnesses.
• Travel for hearings, depositions, trials across Texas and out of state as needed.
