Job summary

Blue Max Trucking Inc in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Dispatcher to manage the daily flow of dump truck and trailer operations in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

You will coordinate routes, communicate with drivers by radio, GPS messaging, tablet and phone, monitor progress, adjust schedules, and keep customers informed about changes. The role emphasizes problem solving, quick decision making, accuracy, and collaboration with the shop to maintain equipment availability.

• Strong, experienced Dispatcher with ability to manage daily flow and high-responsibility tasks.
• Balance customer needs, driver communication, equipment availability, traffic issues and jobsite changes.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, stay organized, and make quick decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate daily work for dump truck and trailer drivers
• Communicate with drivers throughout the day by radio, GPS messaging, tablet, and phone
• Monitor routes, progress, delays, and changing jobsite conditions in real time
• Adjust schedules and assignments quickly to keep work moving efficiently
• Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, service requests, and changes
• Coordinate with the Shop Manager on truck availability, repairs, and maintenance needs
• Prepare and post daily driver schedules
• Audit previous day tickets and organize supporting documentation for billing
• Match the correct equipment for each job
• Alert drivers to traffic issues, weather concerns, jobsite hazards, and road conditions
• Assist with reviewing applications, onboarding drivers, and recruiting qualified candidates
• Strong verbal communication skills and confidence leading drivers throughout the day
• Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a high-pressure environment
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
• Professional, respectful communication with both customers and coworkers
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to take initiative
• Experience with Samsara, TruckIT, or similar GPS/reporting systems preferred
• At least 1 year of dispatch experience in dump trucks, dump trailers, construction hauling, or similar operations preferred
• Military logistics experience is also valued

Dispatcher – Dump Trucks & Dump Trailers

Location: In Person

Schedule: Monday–Friday, plus weekend availability as needed

Start Time: Early mornings required

We are seeking a strong, experienced Dispatcher to manage the daily flow of our dump truck and trailer operation. This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role that requires someone who can communicate clearly, think quickly, stay organized under pressure, and keep drivers moving efficiently throughout the day.
