Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to service a fleet of moving vans and box trucks. You will perform oil/fluids, tires, brakes, suspension, and warranty repairs, working with minimal supervision in a busy shop environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 2+ years of auto repair experience, and ASE certifications, with opportunities to grow skills and ASE credentials. On-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience.
At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel.

Responsibilities

Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks across multiple brands with minimal supervision.
Oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs based on your experience level.
Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures; may drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing or support.
