Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and conduct timely repairs to ensure on-time service.

The role requires hands-on expertise, ability to read precision instruments, and adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations. A valid CDL may be required, and tools are user-provided for the job. Join a team that values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or similar role.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools and complete paperwork accurately.
• CDL when required and DOT/OSHA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment safely and timely, including preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures in trucks, tractors, trailers, or dollies.
• Read precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, voltmeters, etc.) and perform diagnostics.
• Weld as needed; ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, ICC, OSHA rules.
• Maintain strong customer relations and willingness to work various shifts.
