Zimm-O-Matic LLC in Denver, PA is seeking a skilled Truck & Trailer Mechanic with Fabrication and Welding Experience to join our growing team. This role focuses on repairs, modifications, welding, and custom fabrication for trucks and trailers.

The ideal candidate will work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, performing both mechanical repairs and custom fabrication projects. We value safety, precision, and hands-on problem solving in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience welding with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Strong fabrication and metalworking skills.
• Knowledge of truck frames, trailer structures, suspensions, and body systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform truck and trailer repairs and modifications.
• Diagnose and repair structural, mechanical, and suspension-related issues on trucks and trailers.
• Complete frame repairs and frame modifications.
• Perform suspension work, including lift axle and trailer suspension repairs.
• Repair and modify truck beds, dump bodies, flatbeds, walking floors, and related equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair tarp systems and components.
• Perform welding repairs on trucks, trailers, equipment, and components.
• Fabricate custom steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts for trucks and trailers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and customer specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, grind, and assemble fabricated components.
• Repair, customize, and modify trailers to meet customer requirements.
• Fabricate and install truck accessories, brackets, supports, boxes, deck plates, light bars, and other components.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status and repair needs.
