Zimm-O-Matic LLC in Denver, PA is seeking a skilled Truck & Trailer Mechanic with Fabrication and Welding Experience to join our growing team. This role focuses on repairs, modifications, welding, and custom fabrication for trucks and trailers.

The ideal candidate will work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, performing both mechanical repairs and custom fabrication projects. We value safety, precision, and hands-on problem solving in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience welding with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Strong fabrication and metalworking skills.
• Knowledge of truck frames, trailer structures, suspensions, and body systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform truck and trailer repairs and modifications.
• Diagnose and repair structural, mechanical, and suspension-related issues on trucks and trailers.
• Complete frame repairs and frame modifications.
• Perform suspension work, including lift axle and trailer suspension repairs.
• Repair and modify truck beds, dump bodies, flatbeds, walking floors, and related equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair tarp systems and components.
• Perform welding repairs on trucks, trailers, equipment, and components.
• Fabricate custom steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts for trucks and trailers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and customer specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, grind, and assemble fabricated components.
• Repair, customize, and modify trailers to meet customer requirements.
• Fabricate and install truck accessories, brackets, supports, boxes, deck plates, light bars, and other components.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status and repair needs.

We specialize in truck and trailer repairs, custom modifications, frame work, suspension systems, tarp system installations, trailer customization, and metal fabrication services for fleets and owner-operators.

We are currently seeking a skilled Truck & Trailer Mechanic with Fabrication and Welding Experience to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys a variety of repair, fabrication, and custom truck and trailer projects.

Position Summary

The Truck & Trailer Mechanic/Fabricator will perform truck and trailer repairs, modifications, welding, and custom fabrication work. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, and be comfortable performing both mechanical repairs and custom fabrication projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform truck and trailer repairs and modifications.
• Diagnose and repair structural, mechanical, and suspension-related issues on trucks and trailers.
• Complete frame repairs, frame modifications, and wheelbase modification projects.
• Perform suspension work, including lift axle and trailer suspension repairs and installations.
• Repair and modify truck beds, dump bodies, flatbeds, walking floors, and related equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair tarp systems and associated components.
• Perform welding repairs on trucks, trailers, equipment, and components.
• Fabricate custom steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts for trucks and trailers.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Fabrication and metalworking skills.
• Knowledge of truck frames, trailer structures, suspensions, and body systems.
• Ability to use fabrication equipment including welders, plasma cutters, saws, grinders, and other shop tools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the day.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and fabrication machinery.
