Job summary

Coast Truck Centers is seeking a skilled Truck Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trucks, ensuring safe and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and documenting repairs. Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is essential; ASE or CDL credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician preferred.
• ASE Certification or equivalent is a plus.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Knowledge of diagnostics, welding, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on semi-trucks.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure safety and compliance standards.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Maintain detailed service records and document all repairs and inspections.
• Communicate with drivers and fleet managers regarding maintenance needs and repair timelines.
