Peach State Truck Centers seeks a field maintenance technician to service class 5–8 trucks and RVs at sites away from main shops. You will diagnose, repair, and test truck systems per OEM guidelines, while communicating repair needs to customers and updating work orders.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining road service schedules, managing parts inventory, testing drives, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment. Travel between locations and on-site diagnostics are required.

Qualifikationen

• Maintenance of class 5–8 trucks per OEM guidelines.
• Ability to diagnose and repair truck systems.
• Communicate repair needs and advise customers clearly.

Aufgaben

• Perform maintenance on class 5–8 trucks and RVs per OEM and Peach guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair truck systems using hand and power tools, welding equipment, jacks and hoists.
• Communicate with customers to understand repair needs and advise on required repairs.
• Create and open work orders and maintain weekly schedules for repair locations.
• Maintain parts inventory on road service vehicles and schedule maintenance for those vehicles.
• Record time punches and follow work order processes; ensure cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or verify repairs, inspect equipment with test instruments.
• Follow warranty procedures and keep customer vehicles clean during service.
