U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician in Coralville, IA. The role focuses on keeping Ford and GMC trucks in top condition and supporting a growing fleet with hands-on maintenance and training opportunities.

Candidates should have basic mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. A paid hands-on interview and a $100 hiring bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervisor guidance.
