Job summary

Thatcher Chemical in Henderson, NV is hiring a Class 8 Diesel Truck Mechanic for the Day Shift to keep our chemical manufacturing fleet on the road. You will perform PM inspections, trailer inspections, and both minor and medium repairs on tractors and trailers, with parts tracking and basic fleet maintenance responsibilities.

We are hiring a Class 8 Diesel Truck Mechanic- Day Shift- Chemical Manufacturing for our Henderson, Nevada, plant. $33-$36 an hour

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• P.M. inspections
• Monthly trailer inspections
• Minor to medium repairs on tractors and trailers
• Tracking and ordering parts
• Inventory / Detail oriented
• Basic computer duties
• Be available for call outs
• Tire replacement
• Brake replacement
• troubleshoot & repair wiring issues
• Basic fleet maintenance
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Two + years of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of liquid bulk tankers (Internal & External Valves, etc.)
• Tanker experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• A CDL with TX Endorsements is preferred, but not necessary.
• Must be able to Speak, Read & Write English proficiently
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
• The ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
