Job summary

Thatcher Chemical is hiring a Class 8 Diesel Truck Mechanic for our Sacramento, CA plant. The role involves PM inspections, trailer maintenance, and preventive fleet work to ensure safe, reliable operation of our chemical transport fleet.

We seek candidates with 2+ years of maintenance experience, knowledge of liquid bulk tankers, and English proficiency. CDL TX endorsements are a plus; ability to lift 50–75 lbs and pass background/drug tests are required. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of liquid bulk tankers (valves, etc.).
• Tank trailer experience is a plus.
• CDL with TX endorsements preferred.
• Speak, read and write English proficiently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Must pass background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical.

We are hiring a Class 8 DieselTruck Mechanic- Chemical Manufacturing for our Sacramento, California, plant. $33-$48 an hour

Duties include but are not limited to:

• P.M. inspections
• Monthly trailer inspections
• Minor to medium repairs on tractors and trailers
• Tracking and ordering parts
• Inventory / Detail oriented
• Basic computer duties
• Be available for call outs
• Tire replacement
• Brake replacement
• troubleshoot & repair wiring issues
• Basic fleet maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Two + years of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of liquid bulk tankers (Internal & External Valves, etc.)
• Tanker experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• A CDL with TX Endorsements is preferred, but not necessary.
• Must be able to Speak, Read & Write English proficiently
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
• The ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
